I'm not so good at this blogging thing since I haven't done it in awhile so I uploaded my pictures backwards and I'm too lazy to change them. So there!

Brody has been a HUGE change in our lives. It's nice to have a little man around the house...but little, he is not. My 8 month old son is pushing 23lbs and never sits still. He is crawling and likes to make himself known. His sisters love him and can never seem to stay out of his personal space. He has been my most challenging baby, but I'm not going to complain right now. Every time he smiles and grabs my face to give me a kiss, my heart melts. That's what it's all about. We are thrilled to have him in our lives and even though Brian and I are walking zombies half the time, we are blessed to have such a gift as our BBD.

My baby boy was born on February 15, 2010 at 6:15pm. He was 7lbs 9oz and 19 in long. All of the photos are still on my camera so here are a couple shots I had. More pics of my sweet baby to come. By the way, he is now twice his birth weight and filled out quickly.

All mothers need a little R&R, so our wonderful hubbys gave us a day off. We spent the day at the pool at the Palms Casino. We laughed, ate, swam, soaked in the sun, and hung out. We had so much fun we wanted to do it again. Then lives got busy and half of us got pregnant. We will always have the Palms!

Sorry, I've been quite a slacker. I figured I would keep up on facebook or something. However, I really want to keep this blog going so I need to be better at keeping it up to date. What haven't I done the past 6 months or so? I was just certified as a personal trainer so that took up a lot of my time. Kiki learned how to swim this summer and likes to pretend she is a mermaid. Kiki and Kali go to dance class and love it. Kiki started pre-school and is learning so much. Kali also learns from her sister repeating everything. Kali is potty trained, knows how to spell her name, her sister's name, and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. We have traveled a ton this year and need to slow it down next year. Brian is doing well in his job and traveling a lot, still HOA President and just got a calling at church to be on the activities committee. I am busy every week going back and forth to appts., play dates, class, dance, and fun time for me. But the most important news is that we are expecting our third and final child in February. And we made a boy! Yeah! His big sisters are so excited for his arrival. I feel great and am still able to run 2 miles a day. I will post more details and photos soon...I hope. But that is our life in a nutshell. We are very blessed and thankful for our lives and the people we share them with.

Our good friends, the Burns family, moved to Virginia a few years ago so we decided to go visit them. We had a blast. We took the kids to see a movie, saw the Easter Bunny, went to a children's museum in Baltimore, and went dancing in D.C. The girls did pretty well on the 5 hour airplane ride. However, Kali started to throw up an hour before we landed and then continued the rest of the night. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep. Poor Kali, she caught something and didn't eat much the whole time. She was in her usual spirits and enjoyed playing with Ainslee and Nolan. It was great seeing places we haven't been and introducing our children to new things. Before our kids turn 2 they have been to 7 different states. I'm glad they are easy to travel with and friends in fun places to visit.

I was so excited my younger sister came to visit me. She came during the week so she got to live my "stay at home Mom" life. We went to the gym, store, played with the kids, made meals, baths, the fun stuff. However, we did get to go out and have some fun. We went to Target and got candy! I know, we are rebels. We did go to a show- Tony and Tina's Wedding. You go to a mock Italian wedding where you are the guest and the actors are the wedding party. There was even a celebrity guest...wait for it...Kato Kalyn! Who? Well lets just say he was OJ Simpson's roommate when he allegedly killed his wife. I guess that makes you a celebrity. We had so much fun and everyone there referred to us as "the sisters." We danced and had lots of fun. I did get some slack from a groomsman who couldn't believe I would take my sister to the gym when she came to visit me in Las Vegas. I said it was my normal daytime routine and the kids love to go. Then he couldn't believe I had two young kids with "my waistline." He also thought I was 24. And that is why I go to the gym. Ahhh, he made my day. Anyway, I must say I am proud of Rachel keeping up with my friend and I running that week. Rachel plays soccer but doesn't run long distances. She ran 2 1/2 miles one day and about 3 miles the next. She did a great job, go Rachel. We also got to have lunch with our cousin Stephanie who Rachel hasn't seen in years. We had a great at lunch and it was nice to all be together. I always love it when Auntie Rachie visits.

This was the first year both girls were excited about Easter eggs and baskets. It was fun dying the eggs and decorating them. They also loved hunting for the eggs and getting Easter baskets. Of course we did have to let them know the true meaning of Easter and why we celebrate it. They don't quite understand now, but one day they will. I was able to dress the girls in the Easter dresses from last year since it seems my kids don't grow very fast. It's the Filipino in them.

I can't believe that Kallissa turned two. We went to Sacramento for my cousin, Suzanne's, wedding so we had a little party for her at my parents home. We also sang "Happy Birthday" to my younger bro, Mickey, who shares a bday with Kali. In town we had a few of Kali's "lunch group" friends over for her birthday. She had fun and loved eating her cake. Her are a few photos from that.

Brian and I went to a How-to-Host-a-Murder party Saturday night. It was a 1920's Chicago theme and Brian was a golfer/gambler and I was a club owner/Madam. It was fun to dress the part and pretend you are a character. No one knows who the killer is until the very end. It ended up being me. This is a great way to throw a costume dinner party with your friends. We all had so much fun.

I enrolled my girls at Vitaly Sherbo's (Olympic Gold Medalist) Gymnastics Studio. Kiki takes a class for her age group and Kali and I take a Mommy & Me class at the same time. Both girls have a lot of fun and they can walk the balance beam without any help. I am so proud.

I'm not one of those mom's who doesn't care if the kids get dirty or stain their clothes. Call it what you want but I think it happened when I became a Drennan. Those of you who know the Drennans will understand. I try really hard, but I'm always wiping the girls hands every few minutes and I keep a tide pen in my purse at all times. I did try and relax a bit when I decided to give the girls a craft to do. They always want to help me in the kitchen while I cook so I figured we would make aprons. I don't sew so I bought the aprons and we just decorated them. It wasn't that bad and the girls had fun. Kiki was excited to use her apron so we make cookies with the Easy Bake.

Some say I am crazy, others strong, but I just can't stand being at home by myself for more than 3 days in a row. I think I turn into psycho mom on day 4. That is why I decided to drive 9 plus hours to Elk Grove by myself with the girls. Brian had to go to Phoenix for business for a week and I said good-bye Las Vegas, Hello California! The drive was fine, just very long. I stopped for lunch and dinner and one potty break. Thank goodness for DVD players. Without it I would be lost, but I do have one so life is great on long road trips. The girls were good and entertained. I had so much fun hanging out with my family and friends. I got to see my friend Brandy who I have not seen since high school. Spent time with my sisters, brothers, and parents. They helped me celebrate my birthday and we played Dance Dance Revolution. My girls rocked at that game doing floor spins, somersaults, and shaken their tails. Poor Jacob had broken his leg pretty bad so he had to stay in the room most of the time I was there. He did try to play with his crutches but that didn't work very well. My Dad, Danny, the kids and I drove to John's Incredible Pizza and had a fun play day. I got to have a relaxing day getting a mani pedi with Kim and then went to her house and our kids played. (I forgot to get a photo of them) Saw my girl Joy and her kids. Had a great dinner with the Flewellyns, Howards and Mark. We ate pizza and enjoyed root beer floats (especially Mark) and all of the kids played. I also had dinner with the In-laws and spent time with them. Went shopping with my sisters and Mom and went to a movie with my brother. But I do have to say the highlight was dancing with my Mom, Mickey, Rachie, and Sara to the songs of Mamma Mia. I did get it on video and I plan on putting a clip up so soon as I figure out how to do it. My quiet mom was getting down with the robot. It was very funny. However, I did promise her I would leave that clip out. But I didn't say I wouldn't talk about it. -he he- I don't know too many families who have spontaneous dance sessions.

I had a lot of fun and I might drive out again in March with my friend Adrianne who is from Wilton. As long as I have a DVD player, we will be fine.

Can't believe I'm 31

So my birthday came and went. Nothing exciting this year since 31 is not a very exciting age. I did get to eat my weight in steak so that was fun. Now I'm in my 30's and not just 30. I reflected on the past 31 years and thought about life. I can honestly say I couldn't be happier. I have an amazing husband who is still fun to be around after 13 years. He cooks, cleans, changes diapers, plays with the girls, can do their hair when I'm out of town, takes care of me and the girls, and gives me "me" time. He is also still pretty hot for being 30. I have two beautiful daughters who love me and I have a blast with. I have a fun circle of friends who I can act myself around, great parents and siblings, loyal dog, and enough Coach purses for everyday of the week. Okay, so my vice are purses, but other than that I have a wonderful life. Not that I'm bragging, but I am just grateful for everything I have been blessed with. So it's not so bad being 31 when I see all of the blessings I have in my life. So here is to 31- let's just hope it takes me a long time to turn 32.

Brian turned 30 on New Years Eve. We celebrated his birthday for four days and it was great. We were so fortunate to have our wonderful friends come from Sacramento and San Diego to help celebrate with us. On Brian's actual birthday we went to dinner with some friends and played The Office board game laughing the entire time. Until Kali woke up and decided to regurgitate her dinner on me. So right before ringing in 2009, I was washing out puke in my hair. That was fun. Poor Kali.
Our friends came in the next day and we had 7 house guests. Fortunately, our neighbor's let us use their empty house to sleep some of them. We hung out at the house on Friday night and reminisced the good ole days while watching Spaceballs and Three Amigos. Saturday we went to dinner, hung out in VIP at Cherry Nightclub at Red Rock Casino. We danced till our legs fell off and watched America's Best Dance Crew winners put on a show. The night ended at VIP in Voo Doo Lounge at the Rio. It has an amazing view of the strip from the balcony, but it was very cold so we took pics and went back inside where we did more dancing. Around 3am we decided to call it a night, or morning. Let me tell you, staying up till 4 am is a lot different now then it was in our 20's. It took us a few days to recover from our lack of sleep.
We are very blessed to have our circle of friends who will put their life on hold to come out for major events. Thanks to Mark, Mike, Dave, the Howards, Flewellyns, Virgil & Elise, and Erin & Mike for making the long journey out here to celebrate with us. Also, thanks to the Brownings, Mundts, Smiths, and Harber's for hanging out with us too. We love you all! Enjoy all the photos, there are a lot.

We had a very busy Christmas this year. Not only did we go on the Polar Express, we had a Breakfast with Santa at church, spent Christmas Eve with Friends for a wonderful meal, had friends over for Christmas dinner, and then cleaned the mess. The girls had so much fun this year and it was so nice not traveling. Even though we do not have family in Las Vegas, we have made some wonderful friends to spend the holiday's with. The girls were showered with gifts and Brian and I made out pretty good too. We did take time out to explain to the girls that Christmas is not all about the gifts, but service and giving as well. We did our fair share to give and serve when we could to instill the true meaning of Christmas to our children.

Since we got more snow a few days after the first dump, we took the kids to the park and went sledding. The park has a grass bowl that slopes down and we all had a blast. Our friends, Brax, Krew & Ryan met us there to try out our new sleds. All Kali wanted to do was eat snow and Kiki just wanted to go down the hill. You can tell we are warm weather people because the girls were ready to go after only an hour of play. We all had fun and like to 1 to 2 day snow a year.

We traveled to Williams AZ, where we got to take a train to the North Pole. We all got dressed in our jammies and snow boots and were ready for the fun. It was snowing a lot and it was very cold. We had a blast. The girls loved playing in the snow and seeing Santa while he gave them a bell. We sang Christmas songs, had hot coco and cookies, and enjoyed family time. At the end of the day, we were all very tired, but the girls were very hiper from all of the sugar. It took them awhile to calm down and go to sleep. It was a great trip and we look forward to doing it again next year.

Brian loves to decorate for Christmas. He spent 4 days outside setting up the house. After a few hiccups with "not enough power" to hold all the lights. He finally plugged half the house to the neighbor's outlets, part outside and part inside, he finally got it to work. Next year, we need to get more wattage or whatever to the outside outlets. Go Brian! You did a great job!

The last thing you think you will see is a snow storm in the desert. We woke up this past Monday morning to snow. It was very exciting since it has been 4 years since it snowed here. Luck would have it, we were just packing up to go to the snow to ride the Polar Express train in AZ. We did get to play in the snow and the girls had a blast.

My parents and two of my siblings (Jacob & Sara) came down for Thanksgiving. I love to cook and love to eat turkey so I was excited to cook a large meal. We all hung out and watched movies, relaxed and I taught Sara how to make bows. The turkey came out beautifully and the dinner was a success. I was so proud I had to take a photo of it. Friday night we all went to Opportunity Village (a non-profit org. that has a Christmas mini carnival) to take in the lights and festivities. There is a mini train ride that we normally go on that was broken half the time. Unfortunately it took us over an hour to ride the 3 minute train. Oh well, we enjoyed the cool night and hot coco. The kids left happy and tired and that is all that matters. Of course I needed to be happy too so we stopped off at In-N-Out and I got myself a burger. Hey, if this is my weekend to eat crappy, I'm going to enjoy it!

Kali woke up the other morning after coughing all night with very short breaths. As soon as I got her from her bed it hit me, she has asthma. She has had a few breathing problems before but nothing too serious. Kali sounded really bad so I wanted to hurry and take care of this before she got any worse. After dropping Kiki off at school, Brian and I brought Kali in and my fear was confirmed, I gave Kali my asthma. It's not like I did it on purpose, but it still sucks because I know how she feels. Think of trying to take a deep breath but only through a straw, not fun. Anyway, we had to give her two breathing treatments in the doctor's office and each one took about 10 minutes. She screamed the entire time except for the first minute. Poor Kali. She is now used to it and it breathing much better. She actually likes to hold the mask herself, but only while watching Yo Gabba Gabba- I love that show!

I had an opportunity to attend a taping of the Ellen Show this past Friday with some friends. It was so awesome. It was held at the Caesars Palace Colosseum where there was over 4,000 people there. My friend, Breque, used her charm and personality to score us upgraded seats in the center, front row! I was so excited to be a few feet away from the stage where we rocked out to Pink and also got to see Bette Midler and a magician, Hans Klok- (I think that was his name). I also got to dance on stage preshow and got a shirt that says "I danced with Ellen." The cool thing is now I can say I danced on the same stage as Celine Dion, Cher, Elton John, and Bette Midler in front of 4K people. I was only able to attend because Breque got the tickets, my friend Jenni watched the girls until Brian got home and then he fed them dinner and took care of them till I got home. I would like to thank you all for your help. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I had a blast! As soon as I get photos from Breque, I will post them. The show airs Monday the 24th, (tomorrow) so set your TiVo or DVR and check it out and try to spot me in the audience. I'm in a black shirt and jeans. So I just watched the show and we were shown on there at least eight times. Hollywood, here I come...haha

This Halloween season, if you can call it that, was great. The girls got to wear their costumes at least four times this past month with Halloween parties, school parties, Trunk or Treats and of course, Halloween night. Brian and I also got to dress up our fair share of times. Who knew that when we were getting ready for school in 1985, we would be wearing our wardrobe for Halloween costumes over 20 years later. I actually remember doing my bangs and got just a little excited to rat up my hair again. The girls got enough candy to last until next Halloween and had so much fun eating their hearts desire with chocolate and suckers. I scarfed down my fair share of peanut butter cups and then gave up chocolate for three weeks. I know, I'm crazy. All in all, we had a lot of fun and we even won 1st place in our neighborhood's decorating contest. All the credit goes to Brian, good job babe! Only a few more weeks until the Christmas decorating begins. Go Clark Griswold!

I've been meaning to start a blog for a long time, but I wanted to wait until now to start. Why? Who knows. Maybe it's because I always thought "blog" was a stupid word. Or maybe it's because Brian is downstairs playing Call of Duty on his PS3 with his friends and I can't watch my DVR shows because it's all connected to the same TV. When the kids go down for the night, I want nothing more than sit in front of the TV and watch mindless shows and movies. I'm going and going all day and this is when I have my brain break. Since I am a nice and understanding wife who wants nothing but her husbands happiness, I don't mind him playing so now here we are. I think the main reason I am doing this is because we live so far from our family and our hometown friends, we want them to know what goes on in our daily...or monthly lives. For the first time in my whole life, I am blogging. I hope you enjoy our fun and crazy life. This is The Drennan Crew

We are like any average couple. We met in high school, dated shortly after, went to college in different cities while still committed, graduated college, got engaged, and after eight years of dating, we got married. Now it's been almost 13 years since Brian asked me to our first date, his Junior Prom. Little did I know that I was not only saying, "yes" to Prom, but I was also saying, "yes" to spending the rest of my life with this man...boy...but now man. Okay, so maybe we didn't do things the traditional way, but it works for us. We met in Sacramento, got engaged in San Diego, then moved to Las Vegas where we have been almost five years. We have three beautiful girls. Keira, who is three, Kallissa is a year and a half, and Obi-Wan, our yellow Lab is four. We love to travel and spend time as a family. Our kids are our life and we wouldn't have it any other way. We have been told that Brian and I are perfect for each other. We get along pretty well but we do have our disagreements. Like...um...um...oh, what TV show to watch first or what movie to watch at night. We even argue about who gets to hold the remote so we can fast forward through the commercials. Well we are not perfect, but we learned over the past 13 years that communication is the key to a healthy relationship and we both help each other out to make things easier. We both left our selfish behavior behind us when we got married and had children. This is not a "we are better than everyone" spiel, we just like people to know that you can have your differences and have a healthy relationship at the same time. And trust me, we do have our differences. Although we are both a little geeky. Who else do you know names their female dog a male name just because they love Star Wars?

Oh yeah, I do get to have a pass too. I got to go to Portland, OR with my younger sis, Rachel. Why did we choose Portland? Long story, but we went anyway. We didn't get to see a lot of what Portland had to offer so most of our photos were of us acting goofy. We had no car and we stayed downtown. But this was one great trip. For one, I got to spend quality time with my sister. We enjoyed going shopping and eating our hearts desire in steak at Morton's Steakhouse. We also spent 5 hours at a spa receiving massages, facials, pedicures, and make-up applications. Later that evening we attended a fashion show for Portland's own Fashion Week. What can I say about it, it's Portland. We found ourselves at a club dancing the night away feeling a little out of place because we were the only ones dressed from head to toe. But that didn't bother us because our dance moves were so awesome we had quite a few spectators. Finally, we spent a whole morning in bed eating room service before we had to catch our flights. No one to be responsible for but me, no one to remind to use the potty, (well I did ask Rachel a few times out of habit) it was a nice weekend. But I did miss my family and I must say that I have one amazing husband. I don't know many husbands who will let their wife go away for the weekend and take care of the kids. Brian had fun with the girls and he even did their hair everyday. I am very proud and blessed to have Brian as my husband.

Brian's Seattle Trip

Since I am the one writing this blog, I will tell you my perspective of Brian's "guy trip" to Seattle. He went with his BFF Dave and had fun. The End. Okay, I'll give you a little more. Once upon a time, in a magical city of Las Vegas, there lived a King. This King started a new job ruling over a different specialty from the land of Oncology to the land of Rheumatology. This had been very stressful on the King. One day, the beautiful Queen granted the King a leave of absence to travel the land with his most trusted companion, squire Dave. They chose to travel to the far away land of Seattle, WA. They dined, explored and visited with an old chum, Aaron. After a few days, the King missed his fair Queen and his little princesses and returned home. The King was refreshed from his journey and ready to rule the land of Rheumatology once again. Yeah I know, it's corny, but if Brian wants to, he can tell the story himself.

Slumber Party...sort of

For those of you who know us well, you know we are always very busy. I am a "stay at home" Mom, but I have a hard time staying at home. After a busy couple of weeks, I woke up one morning and just didn't feel like doing anything. I decided to have a slumber party during the day with the girls. We staying in our jammies all day and blew up the mattress in the living room and made a bed to watch movies and just hang out. I made popcorn, hot coco, and the girls helped me make cupcakes. They loved licking the beaters. It was nice taking some time out and just hanging with my girls. We had a great time and I think this will have to become an activity we do more often.

Keira's First (and Second) Day of School

I was not planning on sending Kiki (aka Keira) to preschool this year because she just turned three in the summer and I was going to wait until she was four. For some unknown reason, Kiki started to tell me she wanted to ride a school bus and go to school . After a lot of thought and research for a school, I found one that is perfect for her. Kiki attends a gymnastic/dance school twice a week. She goes to 45 min of gymnastics on Tuesdays and then an hour and a half of learning and 45 min of tap/ballet Thursdays with learning after. Since Kiki has a hard time focusing her attention on one thing for more than a few minutes at a time, this was the best fit. She is a ball of energy that has not napped in over a year and she will keep going all day until she goes to bed. She loves to go to school and is learning a lot. It's also nice that I get to spend more quality time with Kali (aka Kallissa) while Kiki is in school.
